Decision clarity for sustainable ways of working

Facilitated Planning & Prioritisation Session

Helping small teams align on outcomes and decide which work is strategically important to focus on.

Overview

This facilitated session helps small teams, NGOs, founders working with collaborators, and individuals step back from day-to-day execution and agree on which work is strategically important for the upcoming period. When teams are managing multiple initiatives with competing priorities, and limited time and resources, it can be difficult to create shared clarity about what matters most. This session creates a structured space to align on outcomes, review current work, and prioritise initiatives together. The goal is not to produce a strategy document, but to help participants leave the session with clear priorities, documented decisions and agreed next steps. If this sounds relevant for your team, you’re welcome to email me to arrange a short exploratory conversation.

Who this session is for

This session is designed for:

  • Small groups

  • Founder-led teams with collaborators or employees

  • Solo founders or independent professionals

  • NGOs managing multiple programs or initiatives

  • Teams preparing for a planning cycle or reset

The problem this session solves

Teams often reach a point where:

  • Too many initiatives are in motion

  • Priorities feel unclear or constantly shifting

  • Decisions about what to focus on take too long

  • Alignment across stakeholders is difficult

Without a structured conversation, prioritisation often remains implicit or unresolved. This session created a shared space to make priorities visibile and decisions intentional

Prioritisation is not just reordering the work.
It is intentionally saying “no” to what does not move the needle.

What the session includes

A facilitated conversation (approximately 2.5 - 3 hours) that supports the team to:

  • Reflect on the current situation

  • Agree on outcomes for the upcoming period

  • Map initiatives and work currently in motion

  • Prioritise initiatives together

  • Decide what to focus on next

  • Identify immediate next steps and ownership

The session is adapted to the team’s context, size, and planning horizon.

Outputs

After the session, the team receives:

  • A prioritised list of initiatives

  • A summary of key decisions

  • Agreed next steps

What changes after the session

After the session, the team leaves with:

  • A shared understanding of priorities for the upcoming period

  • A clear, documented set of decisions about what to focus on

  • Visibility of work in motion and what will be paused or deferred

  • Agreed next steps and ownership

  • A prioritised plan they can communicate to stakeholders

This creates a stronger foundation for alignment beyond the session, helping the team explain their focus, decisions, and trade-offs with clarity. The aim is not just to prioritise once, but to help the team move forward with greater clarity and focus.
